We’re a growing business, on the lookout for highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapists to join our teams in autonomous, but well supported roles, providing quality occupational therapy support to a caseload of Allied Therapy Services clients in your local community.

Built on a foundation of work life flexibility for our team members, Allied Therapy Services is a private allied health service providing occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech pathology services in people’s homes and local community. Organisationally, we place a very high value on service quality and clinical skill sets.

We want our clients to enjoy their therapy journey and ultimately, achieve their goals.

While you don’t need to have worked in a community-based OT role before, ideally, you have had 2-years on the job experience working with clients who; live with a neurological condition or physical or cognitive disability or are experiencing age-related changes. We provide additional onboarding support to therapists who are transitioning from public health into the private sector.

About your new role

As an OT at Allied Therapy Services, your day could include:

  • Starting your day with coffee & emails at home before venturing out to see your first client of the day.

  • Visiting a client in their home to review progress & help them achieve their goals.

  • Getting out and about in the community. OT in the community can be creative and fun! Cooking a favourite meal in a client's kitchen, real life scooter trials around the streets, catching the bus to practice community access or working with a client to achieve their goals in their own environment.

  • Touching base with your Team Leader for a debrief and chat about your caseload.

  • Providing education and training to clients, their family and/or carers to help them continue your therapy program in the home.

  • Calling into a local cafe for a cuppa & quiet moment to complete your notes & write any reports.

  • Jumping online to participate in a client care team meeting.

  • Attending a joint assessment or therapy session with one of our experienced Physios or Speech Pathologists.

  • Popping into a Teams meeting with our OT Clinical Leads and other OTs across our teams to share learnings and knowledge, ask questions and seek support or share in professional development learnings.

  • Liaising with support coordinators, local area coordinators, or others in your clients support network to discuss their progress, goals and to work together to help overcome any barriers.

  • Taking part in your local team meeting or listening to the latest in-house clinical podcast or participating in our professional development program.

  • Finishing super early on a Friday as you have achieved your clinical targets for the week! (Yes, really! Chat to our Clinical Operations Manager Anne, about our super manageable clinical targets & how this can allow for amazing flexibility in your workdays/weeks.)

Our Story

At Allied Therapy Services, we’re for people first and we relish the everyday achievements of our clients.

We long for that ‘heart moment’ when someone achieves something they never thought possible, no matter how small.

Those everyday things other people may take for granted; making coffee, walking in the park, riding your bike to the shops, or seeing your favourite band. As a clinical service, quality, integrity and respect are paramount in all facets of our work meaning we strive to operate at the highest level to support our clients every day.

You can find our 65+ strong team of therapists spread across the Albury-Wodonga, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Warrnambool and Western Melbourne regions.
