Celebrating IDPwD 2022

People are our reason for being. Yes, you too, reading this right now.

Today on, International Day of People with Disability, we celebrate our people, people with disability who are our clients and those we are yet to meet.

People in our community, our therapists, our support teams, friends, family, support coordinators, partner organisations, everyone who works together for our clients to support their goals.

Goals that some people might take for granted; making coffee, bike riding to the shop, putting your socks on, talking on the phone, those everyday things that make up your life and your community.

And for every goal one of our client’s reach, we are one step closer on our journey to a more inclusive Australia.

''There is nothing more important in this world than people, right?''

Our founder Naomi, asked this a few weeks back, and culturally, this is what Allied Therapy Services is all about. We’re for people first, and this ethos informs every decision we make day to day.

Here at Allied Therapy Services we’re proud to celebrate people, inclusion and community, today and every day.

About International Day of People with Disability

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held on 3 December each year.

IDPwD is a United Nations (UN) observed day proclaimed since 1992 and celebrated internationally. The day aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions to their communities.

IDPwD provides an opportunity for us to advocate, promote and make positive changes in the lives of the 4.4 million Australians with disability.
