Neurological Therapy Teams

Occupational Therapy | Physiotherapy | Speech Pathology

Our neurological therapy team work collaboratively with clients living with a broad range of neurological (neuro) conditions.

Neuro conditions can be complex to navigate, and our team has the additional skills, knowledge and expertise to make sure clients are provided with therapy interventions that support them to achieve their goals.

Who we work with

Management of neurological conditions can be supported by allied health therapies to; improve your quality of life, learn a new skill (or similar), maintain, or regain function and reconnect with your community.

We work with individuals, their families and support workers in their home and local community. Each neuro therapy plan at Allied Therapy Services is tailored to the needs or personal goals of every client to ensure they get the most out of their therapies.

Our neuro therapist team can work with clients living with a broad range of neurological conditions;

  • Post-stroke

  • Cerebral palsy

  • Brain injury (acquired brain injury or traumatic brain injury)

  • Spinal cord injury

  • Dementia (including early onset dementia)

  • Progressive neurological conditions including; multiple sclerosis (MS), motor neurone disease (MND), Parkinson's disease (PD), muscular dystrophy, or Huntington's disease.

Working collaboratively to support clients

Our neuro therapists work collaboratively together across therapies on common goals for neurological clients like; returning to work, the prescription of a new wheelchair or the set up and use of communication aids.

Many of our neurological clients are also linked with a local medical or therapy provider or support service specific to their diagnosis. Our neuro therapy team will link in with these local providers, to ensure you have continuity of care. From participating in telehealth team meetings or arranging specialist equipment trials, your Allied Therapy Services therapist works collaboratively as part of your greater team, family or support workers, to ensure the best support plans are in place, so you can reach your goals.

Community-based neurological therapy support

As an in-home and community-based allied health service, your Allied Therapy Services therapist will come to you. We’re big believers in providing neurological rehabilitation support or neurological condition management therapies at home, at work or in a community setting. This means our clients learn skills in the environment where they will be doing them. We access spaces like gyms or pools where it benefits a client’s therapy delivery, then return to community-based therapy as quickly as possible.

Highly skilled therapists

Our OTs, Physios and Speech Therapists have on average 15 years of clinical experience. We couple this with an established clinical leadership structure, continued professional development and regular clinical support, to support the best outcomes for our clients.
